new question! just got my s2000!

Default new question! just got my s2000!


i just brought my car home today and as i lowered the top i realized the glass window was stopping the top from fully going down. what do i do to fix this?

Just a question. But did you buy your car from Kentucky? Because the steering wheel looks crooked like the once i test drove here.

your car is fine!!! if its sorta cold out, the top will do this. my 03 did this, and so does my 06

Might not be the window but the elastic straps that help lower the roof correctly. Looking at your tach, you have an AP1 so its possible the straps just dont pull one of the top bars enough because they're a few years old.

just the cold as said above, mine did this from time to time before i put it away for the winter.

^^same here, just keep trying until it goes all the way down. you can also push on it a little to get it all the way down.

My MY02 has a bar that slides forward from right above the rear window (when up) when you lower the top.

In cold weather, this bar doesn't move readily, and actually can wear holes in the top. Lower the top a little, and grab the bar and slide it forward, easing the top material behind it.

That seems to work for me.

BTW, top operation is not recommended below 40 degrees or so. Precisely because the material gets less flexible and can tear. That, of course, doesn't stop me through the winter here, though.
