Now that the car has 3400 miles, I'll check it and let you know shortly.

As an interessting aside on the issue of whether one should buy an s2k, we recently sold my wife's sedan and are looking for a replacement. (Leading contender is an MB C 320). But we've talked about alot of others, including a possible second sports car for her. She does not want TWO S2K's in the family, so she asked me to recommend another that's worth its price. I couldn't recommend any of the Corvettes due to my aversion to pushrod engines and fibreglass bodies. Other than that, I couldn't come up with a damn thing!

Enough said.

Thanks,
Richard

IS 300 too small with back seat almost unusual. RX 8 ditto, plus a permormance curve too much like the s2k (little low end torque). Cadillac CTS too big, too cramped backseat, and I just got through with the problem of low Cacillac resale values and don't want to "go there" again.

What I meant in my post is not that I couldn't think of another good four-door sedan, but that I really couldn't think of another sprots car with anywhere near the "bang for the buck" as the s2k.

Thanks,
Richard

Sorry to post after myself, but bought the wife the MB C320 today. NOT a sports car, and doesn't pretend to be. Just a nice near-luxury four door. Seems to do well within its design criteria. But I still am at a loss to recommend any SPORTS CAR to anyone that is worth its price, compared to the s2k.

Thanks,
Richard

Well, about the mullett hair guys who want to race from a standing start, don't. Just wait till they get to 60 or so, and then blow by them like they were standing still. If you (lucky guY) happen to pick up more girls than you can fit in your s2k, then ask the excess females to wait till you go home and get your sedan. If they were serious, they will, beliveve me.

Home Depot mods? The wierdest thing is that THEY WORK! Now where else are you going to get a car you can "mod" for $5 worth of stuff from Home Depot?

Thanks,
Richad

Well, this brand-newbie won't ask such an obvious, worn out, thread bare question.

I'm hoping to pick up my new S2K this afternoon! ('03 Spa)

I think I got a good deal at $400 over invoice. I'm just hoping that I won't regret not waiting a few months for an '04.

Seeing as I'm a newbie, are there any major changes to the '04 that I should consider waiting for or was this just too good a price to pass up? I'm not locked into the purchase yet so I can still change my mind.

Any thoughts from the vets around here?

Anything OVER invoice considering the next model is so close seems to be excessive to me but I may not understand your car market. Some people up here are getting a thousand or two BELOW MSRP, regardless of time of year.
