The biggest con: not too long ago, a 50-something babe tried to pick me up while I was sitting in the car with my 60 year old wife.
That's a con, Joe?

Pros: Fun to drive, Has everything u need in a race-car, awsome looking headlights and design, says "Look at me" in traffic, rare, definite babe-magnet, excellet power/liter ration excellent handling, overall excellent roadster

Cons: "H" instead of an "A", weak stereo for a $30k car, transmission reliability, says "Look at me" when cop has his radar on. Last but not leastNo optional TV and VHS, power opening doors, 8-passanger seating, rear A/C controls, rear stereo controls, etc.

Good rebuttal Mav. lol... you were right on with everything you said.

this is a thread to teach people about the S2000... the pros and cons....

If you are going to come in and just trash the S2000, particularly with blatent lies, don't bother.

Try owning an Integra Type R

At least the S2K motor doesn't fit in honda civics and integras.

Con: I worry too much about my car parked anywhere but my garage.

I think that's a good point, Tommy. You really can't call this kind of thing a "con." After all, liking a car so much that you worry about it is, well, a natural consequence of ownership.

And, yes, we should be thankful that our engine isn't being targeted for transplantation into other models. The seats, on the other hand....

Buy one because every time you are driving it with the top down and you get the looks, you will know that you bought the right car. I do, and I did.
