Little update: Still no new photos yet (the weather has been crappy most of the week when I'm busy). But anyway, while over at a local car parts store I noticed this so called "turbo filter" from APC. It actually looked quite functional as it has this aluminum housing wrapped around it and a cone-shaped filter (like K&N) inside. I think it'll perform even better than installing a modified bucket-umbrella and its sealed from the back too so water won't get sucked in from behind by the tire and underneath. I wish I had a photo to show but its worked very well so far since the car's been out.

Both holes above are plugged also, I just used some 3M tape and boat sealant.

And before I forget, retail for this filter is a little steep at around $70 but over saving the engine from hydrolock and driving carefully its a good investment in my opinion.

I can see that! Looks very dramatic! A real show stopper! Have you dyno'ed it? and do you see an advantage in running that intake?

I will eventually get this NA mortor dynoed, after photo shoot opportunity and arrival of rear ASM GT3 bumper, ASM rear flare, and CF Side splitters install.

I doubt you will see much gain on a dyno with any of the JDM intakes (Mugen, J's or ASM), They are produced to create power at speed and on a dyno you can not simulate air speeds of 60+mph coming into the front bumper. Dyno's should be used for tuning not to tell you how much power a single part makes IMHO

Tan your car looks great

I love my AEM V2 CAI! Looks like a down pipe and noticed better throttle response! Sounds so sick too!

So, what kind of modification is required to run the J's intake?

^The air guide needs to be removed. The underside of your hood also needs to be cut in order to clear the large snorkel.
