I like the K&N I use it with the ARC cooling plate to help direct cool air to the intake .

Still thinking about wrapping it (box and piping) in heat resistant tape to keep tempatures to a minimum.
I like it

yeah I actually took your advice and got a cooling plate (found a deal on it for $115) with the K&N, and in retrostpect it really is the best option on the cheaper side of intakes if you want a vented hood later down the line, the CF dresses up the engine bay a little, there's no risk of hydrolock like with the AEM or even comptech if you have a vented hood, and with a good filter, you get the gains too. at any rate if down the line you think you dont like the look of the stock box anymore, you can get an intake and keep the cooling plate

Gonna stick in another vote for the FIPK from K&N, great sound throttle response and power addition, good price (mine was like 230 shipped) although it is a bit bland
Sounds amazing....

Chalk another one up for the K&N. I have the FIPK2 and the AUT cooling plate. To me this was the best combo of sound, cost, and bling without any risk of hydrolock.

When summer gets here we'll see if it eliminates my heat bog.

Yea I have the AUT cooling plate too but how does that work in conjunction with the K&N FIPK? Any picks of your setup?
