yea man I think the comptech would look pretty sick if the piping was CF, I might have to go with that. I wish I could find some info on the PRM though it looks kinda sweet.

Found the site for PRM. Just put PRM intake S2000 in google and you'll find a lot of sites that sell it. What do you guys think?

I did really want the J's intake, despite the price. But the requirement of cutting your hood or buying an aftermarket one with a hump there changed my mind.
I then wanted the Spoon snorkel, but I think it looks too thin where they make it fit with the stock hood and radiator support. People have claimed it doesn't hurt performance, but getting super thin just to keep stock hood just doesn't sit right with me.
I've finally decided on the Garage Defend cooling plate with intake scoop. This will allow an awesome look, it allows me to retain the stock box, but also has the same benifits as a snorkel without being restrictive.

No reason really. Just going a differant route I guess. My goal is to be 100% CARB approved and make over 300hp. It shouldn't be too hard.

The HKS is an awesome intake in my opinion. The power increase was significantly better than the comptech and sounds unbelievable at wide-open throttle. Plus it is one of the rarest intakes for the s2000 for those JDM Whores.

HKS intake is really cool and yes it prevent your car from hydrolocking. But I don't get how the power is different then the comptech one? Both of the filter is located in the same direction and both have cover after the filter to keep the filter cool.

I like the K&N I use it with the ARC cooling plate to help direct cool air to the intake .

Still thinking about wrapping it (box and piping) in heat resistant tape to keep tempatures to a minimum.
