I don't really know - I just bought what several sources said was a good fit for the car. All I wanted was to relieve weight up front and have a little more punch - both well accomplished.
im sure that was achieved.

how much does the oem intake mani weigh? the ITB's can't be more than 20lbs.

ITB's are more like 7 pounds, if that. I'm going to weigh all the junk I removed, if I had to guess I removed about 50 pounds - pretty crazy to remove so much weight of excellent Honda engineering and replace it with only a fraction of aftermarket goodness.

not really - I installed an aircraft grade cooling hose to bring outside air to the vicinity of the intakes and put a mesh on the entry of the hose - it's not getting any ram air though as it is using the wheel-well entry to the engine compartment.

i plan to have a mugen intake in my car to direct the air to the itb's. im not sure if ill use filters though, i hear they restrict power.

haha use the AC to cool the intake area of the engine bay

that makes lots of sense doesn't it

the more power you take away the more you add! that totally makes sense!

it should, but i need to do some more re search. no using filters makes me scared, but majority of the particals that enter the motor will just burn up anyway. they say with itb's you need to change your oil more often than once every 3k.
