So it sounds like everyone gets a starter map and then mods it everyday they need to meet some condition. An on-going task... I guess a system that can store multiple maps would be a big help....
AEM only stores one map and calls it "WORKMAP"... but you can have different maps stored in your laptop like franceso said.

franceso, 12.5 is ok but i think that's still rich.... aem has a big resolution that you can fine tune every cell to get a proper mixture. unlike others that have low resolution.

nice video ronac, so thats the busa using emanage or AEM?

i still need to take video of mine... one day

even better, have you seen inline pros 2.7L stroker, that with ITBs would be the holy grail for N/A F2X.
My eventual plan

well i installed it, towed it to modacar for dyno tune/start up.

casey from modacar tuned it on their dyno using the 1052 basemap. drove home after 2 hours. tuning = money, if i wanted it tuned perfectly right away, i woulda paid tons of money with all the time on their dyno. so had him tune it for driveability make sure i dont detonate throughout the whole rpm range.

since then i did all the tuning myself, plus their dyno is not load base.... tuning is a lot better with real road load, so a lot of street tuning is the best way to tune ITBs. i did a lot of datalogging, but most of the time, i drive and my finacee in the passenger seat with my laptop haha while i do pulls on the freeway looking at AFR and tell her what cell to adjust .... so i tell my friends that my fiancee tuned my car if they ask who tuned it
LOL that's what I finally did to get it all super smooth - I drove and instructed my wife how to tune

I've set my fuel target map so that everything above 85% engine load looks for an AFR of 13:1, between 70% and 85% it targets 13.5, between 70 and 50 it targets 14.7:1, and everything below 50% it targets 17:1. Ive got the O2 feedback value set to +/- 10% for all load cells below 95%, and I've got almost every cell tuned to as close to "0" feedback value when the crosshairs are centered in each cell. Cruise control helps huge for holding rpm's still, gentle use of the throttle allows you to center the horizontal load in each cell, then tune that cell, and move on to the new one. Occasionally you'll need to back off and let the cruise control bring you back down to the rpm's you want, and you'll have to work kind of fast to get the higher load cells, since they'll obviously try to accelerate the car, thus making the rpm's rise too...

Remember, the cells are part of a dynamic 3d map, and if you're crosshairs aren't centered in the middle of the cell when you make tuning changes, you're not reading a response of just the cell you want - it looks at the 8 surrounding cells as well. I failed to explain that part to my wife the first time I had her tune.....needless to say, we had to retune, but it was an 8 hour drive, so she's got it down pat now

ahaha nate thats ideal, but for me, my aem wideband is not even hooked up to the ems right now.... dont ask my why haha, im just lazy to remove the ecu again after i tucked it under there to wire the o2 sensor... i'll do it soon so i dont have to "manually" tune it anymore.

and yeah cruise control is ideal also but i have sparco steering wheel now

and yeah i love rotating the 3d graph to get a smooth curve.

I got a question for you guys that have tuned the itb with the map sensor.

I noticed when I was driving on the road, I had to be very gentle on the throttle (can't move it too suddenly). All the pedal movements had to be gradual. When I suddenly open up the throttle, the engine just BOGS!

I think I have to mess with the Accel settings but not exactly sure how to tune it. What kind of settings are you guys using for that?
Or do you just have to be easy on the gas?

Oh btw, at the moment, I'm on entirely stock exhaust and AEM EMS.

After reading a bit more about the accel pump.

Due to the nature of the ITB, the ITB's have a much quicker response versus a stock intake manifold. I think I've been going about it the wrong way. I think I have to turn OFF the accel pump entirely because it's actually taking away the fuel that I need instantaneously.

What are you guys using for accel pump settings your itb's?

you said when driving?? coz i dont have that problem, as long as the rpm is above idle, i can press the pedal all the way down quickly and it goes up quickly....

during idle on the other hand, if your foot is not on the pedal then suddenly press it all the way, it will bog.... i guess thats the downside of map vs. tps. but if i have my foot on the pedal at around 1100 rpm steady then press it all the way suddenly, mine goes up quickly.
