Do a compression test, that will tell you a lot about the "health" of the engine.

honestly bro, i wouldnt waste any time fiddling with the intake system. the OEM id the tits and i've gone through 6 intakes so trust me. the way to make power on this car is with the exhaust and tuning. get a good header a 70mm and a vafc2/emanage and call it a day. if you want more, get ITBs or boost!

on 9psi of boost, you should be ~390 for that kit...
9 psi will only be around 350 or so. Congrats though! I can't wait to get mine in!

We'll find out, but I am betting it will be good for ~400rwhp.
I don't know. ex-eclipse, who was running Lovefab and had a GT3071 turbo running at 9.75 psi on a stock motor, and he was putting down about 395 rwhp.

That's cool! I am a little more optimistic though--my car is making pretty good power with its current bolt-ons, and with 9 psi and Shawn Church's tuning abilities I am sure it will make 400rwhp.
i saw shawn church on a TOV vid, not what i expected him to look like at all.
