you should get the bbs ap1's or spoons. i just got spoons so my volks will be up for sale. how much do you guys think lightweight wheels would affect a dyno?
Refresh your college Physics 1 course...moment of inertia to be exact. If you don't have that textbook handy, just go to shawn church's website, he'll explain it there.

You will defenately see an increase in RWHP with lighter wheels. Less energy to move the rotating mass means more power makes it to the ground.

wildcard, are you going to do a couple of dyno runs with the open header?

Yea, what's the deal with that header? Is it gonna work? Is it going to be produced? Can I add it to my header thread??

Going to 2nrwerks today boys. Got an appointment with the dyno at 1pm. I've been re-tuning the car myself thru the part throttle settings while driving around, and something I've noticed, is that with the added airflow, I'm able to add buttloads of timing everywhere, and still not knock...so we're gonna advance the timing as much as we can on the dyno, and then re-trim the AFR's closer to 13.8...Hoping to pick up a few extra ponies thru the entire power band....Especially up at peak. I'd really like to see some higher numbers out of this setup...I'm still sceptical that my exhaust is holding me back THAT much...
Wish me luck!
i was pm'd by the member making the header yesterday, he was VERY busy with his day job so the header was on hold until he got some things taken care of first. hes got one bolted onto his S and says its nuts with the header on it! i havent really heard to much as to when he wants me to test it(if he still does) and all the rest of the details. i'll keep my NA bros up to date as possible.

Well, dyno yesterday kinda sucked. I didn't get the chance to drop the exhaust due to the fact that we had to tune 4 cars in 2 hours, but I did learn that even the lightest weight cotton batting (4 oz), is too much, and still sucks down 10 hp off the entire plot. After yanking the filters (finding out that #2 sucked through and ripped the wire mesh AGAIN), I got almost all my power back, but it was a little warmer, and much more humid yesterday than the last time I dyno'd. We gave it as much timing as it would take, and leaned it out to 13.5-13.9, but as far as numbers go, I didn't make anymore power anywhere.

Without a doubt, I need an exhaust.
Best I could pull yesterday was 207 and 143...but I blame the weather for that
The plot looked identical to my previous plot, just barely under it though.
Anyone wanna donate an exhaust to my cause?
