2005 S2K - Clutch/Transmission problems
#12
all,
sorry i took a while to reply.
i am able to get the shifter in gear. once the shifter is in gear and i mash the gas, and the clutch doesn't engage and then i end up revving the engine and then a burning smell emits.
all the replies here indicate the clutch delay valve. are you all suggesting that it's not properly installed or defective and that this is possibly a factory defect covered under warranty or am i just shifting too fast? in the event this is a possible defect in the clutch, i'll pay the honda dealer a visit.

^ it's not a defect per se... it's doing what it's supposed to do.. thats why it's called a clutch delay valve... it delays the engagement.. so if you gas it to quick it wont' engage properly... there is a do it yourself mod to get rid of the clutch delay valve which many people have done..
