The NASA newsletter seemed confident that Dominion would be a go for the July 22-24 event.

Most builders use the ej205/ej257. Although you can fit them with the Focus ST engine as well. But be ready to spend for that.

Thanks!

If your familiar with the b series setups mine feels like a LS motor on a b16 transmission. It's pretty rough.
Haha good analogy. I'd imagine it's even worse from riding in derek's (lalasissyboy) car. If you drive it on the street it's gotta be brutal w/o a different FD..

Stock, since this is on a budget
Stock diff is the same for the nismo and regular Z (non base model, which is an open diff). All crap, save up for something that actually works.
Thanks for the input.

You would still need to purchase the chassis wiring harness and marry the ecu with the subaru harness. Plus the control arms, spindles, brake system, transmission adapter, plus any upgrades that you want to make along the way.

For reference: My donor vehicle cost $7750 and I sold enough off the donor that I didn't need to really only be in it for $1k. Of course, those savings were all poured back into the project in the form of suspension upgrades, Blouch 18g turbo, seats/harnesses, etc. But the cost differences between a donor build and purchasing the Ford engine to start with are significant.

I'm using an accessport. So stock ecu with reflash from Cobb.
