I'm not cheap... I'm thrifty No point in spending $250 on a mount at BB when the exact same one can be had online for 1/3rd of the price.

I want tilt and side-to-side, that's all. The eBay one I linked to isn't that good of a deal as he charges $40 to ship UPS (I live 10 miles from the guy!). Even if it was across the states, shipping shouldn't be much more than $10 for Ground... I really hate how the eBayers try to rip people off with shipping prices. Funny enough, though, the MountsDirect.com version I linked charges $50 for the mount but $20 for shipping... the eBay version is actually cheaper!

I paid $150 a year ago from a B&M.

Are you going to rough in an outlet behind the tv so no wires are visible?

Cables off of e-Bay I'd be okay with... cars, not so much.
Ironically, I bought my S2000 off of eBay, but have never bought any cables

Hope you're enjoying the TV! I am seriously thinking about buying the 360 HD-DVD Player this weekend. Then I'll have both HD-DVD and BluRay once I get my PS3.

Holy poop! Awesome movie and superb animation! The THX entry piece is We even watched the extras. Funny how I, too, remember my mother always taking pictures. This will be added to the collection to be sure.

I'm so glad I didn't settle for a 720p screen. Even though the HD channels are 1080i, I see no motion blurring, and the detail is stupendous. Damn, turning on SD channels makes me cringe now I can't wait to get this bad boy up on the wall and off of the floor.

I'm in an apt. so running the cables through the wall is more trouble than it's worth (though I did do that at a place in Indiana while I went to school, even ran cabling through the complex attic for my DirecTV ). For now, I'll just hide it all behind some sort of as-yet-to-be-decided shield.

Ryan, did you see the new HDDVD player coming out in December from Toshiba? 1080p and some other widgets...

I looked at the titles available or soon to be available- If you don't like guts and gore, you're pretty much outta luck. TH8, NFS:C, and Tiger Woods are the only three that interest me. And of course, now the Pio Elites are 1080p. Anyone wanna buy mine? Just joking, I'm plenty happy with my set.

Family night... fixin' to pop in Cars. Heard it's pretty good.
My TV displays at 1080p native, but doesn't support HDMI 1.3 which means no 1080p input. 1080i into a TV that can de-interlace properly will look just as good for movies though. So for me, a 1080p HDDVD player isn't a huge deal, but $200 for the 360 HDDVD player is a damn good price.

As far as PS3, I'm really just looking to use it as a BluRay player for now, eventually I'll probably get some games for it. The launch lineup is really weak ... Resistance: Fall of Man is the only thing that looks decent that isn't already available for 360.

Bobbie and I rented it last weekend... Good story with some good meaning.

I'll never take the interstate again...

Oh yea... I have no idea what 1080p even is... CRT is about as new school as I get... Did I mention that my DVD player is now about... say... 6 years old??? HD?!?!? Fugetaboutit...

Back to my hole now...

Ran across this via a link on avsforum.com. It is very sound and objective reading for those considering a high-definition set in the near future.
