Just VA and DC.
Gotcha, thx.

And of course, for me, all of Canada, and if they detect it, or even see it, they confiscate it, or they smash it on the roadside right in front of you.

Only in some provinces actually. They are legal in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Even funnier is that one of the illegal province is where most Escort and Beltronics RDs are manufactured. They have some special way of getting them out of the province/contry.

Those residents keep Beltronics in business by tucking an STi under the CD holder in the sun visor

Mike, are you sure they cannot confiscate your detector if you are from out of state in VA?

If so, the $100 ticket is worth the risk IMO. I will have to set up my stealth V1 setup again before the trip.

Doh! Yes, you are correct, my bad. X and K around here most of the time.

I love the Lockout signal feature... when you are sure it's a false signal like a auto door you hit mute 3 times and it stores the info and does not give you a signal again. If you get a REAL signal at the same location it knows the difference and tells you.

We had a store in Middlebury like that - set off the detector every time. I finally had it locked out and one day there was a signal there again and I was thinking WTF? but I slowed down anyway, and avoided a possible ticket

Yes 100%. I always turn mine off but never take it down.

For the record, VA cops are LAZY about radar because of this law. If I lived in the area I would for sure have a STi or STi-R in my car.

Also, the V1 has pretty good shielding so if you see em far enough ahead turn it off and if there's enough traffic around they won't know who it was and will have a hard time proving it was you.

Considering it also contains the new ZR4 shifter it's worth the price. You could go with the STI-R and couple the ZR4 shifter but you would still be at the same price pointer.
