Yup, equalizer bars are great. I'd never consider towing a moderate load without them. I'm used to the type where you set the load via a chain at one end and then lock it in. The ones you linked seem overly complex. But then again.... you're really only towing one thing, so I don't see you changing the bar settings much.

Actually, the design is complex, but the functionality is super simple. Heck, you can even backup with this unit fully attached.

The older units like this are actually much more of a pain to use.

How do you change tension on the bars you're getting? It looks like you have to unbolt and reposition the bracket. With the older ones, you just pick a chain loop, put it on the lower hook, use a pipe to move the catcher up, and put a pin in. The whole process takes a couple seconds.

The vast majority of people I have chatted with say THIS IS THE ONE.
I'm not an expert yet as I'm not an owner yet.
If you are dying to know watch the video, that's all I know for now.

Still looks more complicated to me and I really don't understand how the sway control part is supposed to work. Technology scares and confuses me.

The dead hooker? I always thought she was pretty low-tech.

YIKES- back to the drawing board...

Maybe a better option
The one with friction material instead of steel on steel like the Equal-i-zer
