Anybody complete the P90x program?
my friend just told me about this the other day. he was really enthusiastic about it... i might try this because i am been toying with the idea of getting a personal trainer. i havent gotten bigger, leaner, or stronger in a long while, even tho i go to the gym a decent amount...
first thing i need to do is cut out the 12 ounce hammer curls on weekends, definitely gonna be the hardest thing for me to do.

wow. I've always been a skeptic about this stuff.
Besides a pull-up bar, what other equipment does the program require?

The work outs are very intense. The plyometrics is hard as hell. I'd say the hardest part is just following the diet plan. I went from 219 to 203 in the first 3 weeks but stopped because of a vacation that just destroyed the routine. I do agree you have to be in pretty decent shape to even start it.
After three days I am really sore and my lower back does not hold up through the ab routine. I have to do about 75% and then stop the last few reps of everthing because I strained it day one.
The weight stuff I am used to but the cardio aspect and the pace are intense.
I need more dumbells as well. I have 10, 15,20,35 and 45's, but need to get another set between the 20 and 35 range. I hope the future weeks have less soreness. Yoga tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about Yoga.
Yeah the Cardio is intense, but honestly it's my favorite part. Yoga is incredibly stupid hard, even though I'm pretty flexible already!
I like being the little guy when a "strong" friend tries to workout along with me on chest/back and can't make it through the whole 50 minutes

As posted before you can probably find on a torrent, and my wife already had it, but its about $130, probably cheaper used on ebay, and if I knew how good a program it was I would not have a problem paying it. Its pretty slick.
It seems great for cutting weight, but If you want to put on some serious muscle i recommend something else...just started yesterday and having done it for two days I've picked up weights for two movements out of atleast 30 movements with the program.
I'm somewhat worried about muscle break down because at its core its a fat cutting program, but we'll see after a month...if I feel I'm losing too much muscles I'll probably throw in some weight lifting before ..cause I don;t think I'd have the energy after.
