cellphone deals on amazon.com
there are gazillion -$150-225 deals w/ new activation on amazon.com.. so they are paying you 2 hundred bucks to sign up for 1 yr.. hmm. so what's the catch?? if it's so good why woudl anyone NOT get new plans from amazon?
no catch. it's the same deals that those chinese dealers will get you on either side of the country. but seeing that you live in ann arbor where probably not a single chinese restaurant has the balls to tell you that fortune cookies are not chinese, it's better to order it through amazon.com
just yesterday I signed up for a 1-yr contract with T-mobile and bought a Samsung E715 off of Amazon. the reviews of T-mobile and of that Samsung phone were good, and the rebates were too good to pass up. (I am leaving behind the sub-par Sprint network after 5 years with that cellular service provider
)
whatever you do, DO NOT get suckered into buying off of some other website whose reputation you don't know about. I almost bought off of wirefly.com, aka point wireless, aka inphonic.com . I've also read terrible things about a1wireless. They offer great rebates... but there is SOOOO much online customer feedback about them never sending out the rebates, demanding the customer prove to them that the website actually said that they offered that rebate, and even then fighting back and never sending out these rebates.
I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet, considering the volumes of complaints about them.
That's why I bought from a reputable souce, Amazon.com-- which still offers some great deals.

Be careful, I've seen that if you change your plan during the "agreement" (to a lower plan) with the carrier, you can be charged a fee by the online representative. Total BS but read all the fine print.
BTW, Inphonic (aka wirefly, aka whatever..) was named INC 500's #1 company in growth, they're doing something right.
Just bring your favorite internet "special" to your local store and they'll do their best to match it.
