I always carry two. Two is one and one is none. And a beveled Surefire taclight as a backup. Besides the obvious reason of self defense, you'd be surprised how often your friends ask you for it to do mundane things like open boxes or wrappers off of various everyday products.

For you SureFire fans, try the Malkoff M60 Mod . 235 lumens for $55.00.

I have a knife on me 24/7. We are humans. We need tools. My everyday carry is a Benchmade Griptilian (http://www.knivesplus.com/benchmadegriptilian.html), a 3" classic drop-point most days, 3.5" sheepfoot most weekends. Both lengths are CA and Los Angeles legal but the 3.5" violates company policy where I work.

American made and Axis-lock FTW!

Two things can happen in a knife fight. 1. You get cut and win. 2. You get cut and lose.

I carry two knives all the time. We own a horse farm and my knives are used several times a day. They are tools and not for defence. I carry the small Victorinox Swiss Army like the one in the OP's 1st post and would hate to be without it. I also carry a nasty looking folder for cutting into hay bales, feed sacks, shaving packages, etc. It is not this Karambit but it looks much like it.

The curved blade hooks into the bales and is much less likely to slip out than a straight blade.

Bill, what knife do you have with a hoof pick built in?
