Some 16-17 year old girl (read: looked 19-20) in a well done catwoman outfit rang my doorbell last night. I almost put the treats aside and showed her a trick!

I remember back in the day when I was 9 (17 now) my dad would follow us in his car while my brother and i ran from house to house. Then he would pick us up and off to the next stop we were....but it was all to try and get insane amounts of candy. We have left over candy till the next halloween.

Or.. Since there's really nothing official about that date.. Move it to summer! Better for the kids.. nice weather.. Sunlight till around 8 or 9 in the evening..
Halloween is derived from All Hallows' Eve, which is the day before All Saints' Day, a religious day with the date of November 1.

Okay ya, but in terms of calendar year, we really have no way of deciphering the actual dates of events.. Like Christmas for example.. And since Halloween is more of a novelty and consumer's holiday, I don't think anyone would have any objections.

it's a ploy by the dental association of america. I bet they're the biggest advocates for Halloween cuz later on, insurance will be paying for all the aching teeth :-D
