You can buy one online... I had one I bought off ebay cost me close to $100... was a fun thing to have at parties... the one thing to realize about breathalizers the more recently you've had a drink the higher you register... even if your bac isn't really that high. ie: we would make a game to drink a sh!t ton and blow right after to see who could get the highest. We got it up to over .30.... which is obviously not accurate.. at that point you would be dead or atleast comatose.

had some guys messing with a breathalyzer at 7am after staying up till probably 5ish drinking (so basically an hour or two max of sleep)
most of them were around .35 and one guy hit .41 so even if you figure it was not totally accurate, they were all probably well over .3
they had all recently gotten out of college so figure binge drinking for 5 years or so solid (maybe 9 if they drank like that in high school..)

I thought it was like 1 drink=1 shot.
So if you get a mixed drink with 3 different shots of booze in it--that's it for an hour.

but if you are talking about about mixed drinks like adios, long island, or other teas, etc. then generally you are only getting 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz per liquor.
and AMF would have
.5 gin
.5 run
.5 vodka
so more like 1.5 oz of liquor instead of 3. just something to be aware of.
of course, if you know the bartender, all bets are off on the amount of alcohol you get

for someone with a high tolerance, .3 can be achieved without passing out or falling over dead.
