Default Father's Day Gift Idea

Do you plan to prepare a gift for your dad?
I find an article:Father's Day Gift Idea

The Photo Mug introduced in the article sounds a good idea for me..

Do guys/fathers really appreciate cards? My g/f suggested I get my dad a card but I dont really see the point. Seems like more of a female thing to me. I plan on buying/cooking him dinner and calling it good

My Dad always likes the funny cards, i.e. The Far side, etc. and a gift related to your father's interests is great.

A track day with a local club. I got my dad a track day at Pocono North course with NASA and he was like a little kid with a new toy.

I got my dad a Mychron lap timer for his race car.

Who gets their dad a mug? And despite what tha interweb sayz, Dad's rarely enjoy personalized gifts in general. Get them something they can use and appreciate, not some cheap mug or shirt with your picture on it. If you want to personalize something, get a nice picture in a nice frame for his office, not on a stupid mug...

My fiancee and I got my dad some Civil War DVDs, since he likes history and watches a lot of TV. He doesn't dig the personalized gear.
