Does that vary by state?

Also, can I just go in by myself without anyone over 21?

I think you can still buy 'one shot' cartridges from specialist suppliers but they would cost serious money. The cheapest way is to reload your own!
Brass cartidges! I guess you would have to have something stronger than plastic for those loads.

Ahhhh...makes sense. One of these days I'll have to get into reloading. My company that I work for was the worlds largest ammunition manufacturer, so I used to get my ammo really cheap. I wish they hadn't sold that division.

Hey Rick, if you wanna go shooting with me sometime, give me a call. The Koko Head range is 5 min. from your house. I'll even sell you my Smith & Wesson .40 cal cheap if you like the way it shoots. I prefer my Desert Eagle .44 magnum
Also, we could shoot my HK91 assault rifle. That .308 packs a kick.

rstark,

Im very happy with my GLOCKs. Theyre very durable and easy to field strip/clean. Rent and borrow as many guns to try you can before you purchase.
Mark my words, before you buy too many guns, get yourself a nice .22 target pistol and save yourself a TON of money on ammo.
Lately Ive found the 9mm ammo to be as much as 10% to 30% less than other larger caliber stuff. Perhaps test out the GLOCK models 17, 19, and 34 for larger caliber range fun. It costs me about $20 to shoot 150 rounds of 9mm, and about $3 to shoot 350 rounds of .22 The .45 on the other hand zaps almost $35 out of my pocket when I shoot 150 rounds. So buy smart.
If you are buying for self defense the larger the cartrige the better, but hopefully most of your lead will be hitting paper targets. A word of warning....firearms are extremly addictive, so be sure and buy your significant other one too so you can both play.

Happy blasting.

Wynn
