GT3 Tracking Thread
Well, I sold alot of cars and tried the Escudo or whatever....With the highest stage turbo the tires would smoke in almost everygear. It was ridiculous! And then stock I still couldn't keep up with the boys! I said, Screw that....I don't know what to do. Well, I would the Italian race with my Zonda and got the Zonda Race Car. Although it weighs a bit more, i got the horsepower up around 1150 or something. (and it still handles awesome!!) The Suzuki didn't do it for me. Handling-wise, I couldn't control and when I put supersofts I lasted one lap and the Nissan race car was already like 12 seconds ahead! Can anyone think of any reasons why? (i do have the wheel, but I'd say I'm pretty good at it).

Afterburn, which RUF you talking about? I have a maxed CTR2 and it handles like shit. It has a turning radius that resembles that of the Titanic. I won plenty of races with it early, but only because its so ungodly fast accelerating I could just about stop at every corner to creep it around then lay back in on the gas.
If you are talking about the CTR2 and have some settings for me to try I'd love to hear them, I like the car but I spent a lot of time trying everything I could think of to make the car take a corner to no avail.

The suzuki has won ALL of my main races....it just leaves everything in the dust
just got to hold that crucial line, and use *cough* "environmental braking" . For example say you come up to a hairpin corner, your tires are shot, and you're coming in too hot...Usually when you take a hairpin, you go to the outside of the track just before getting to the hairpin, cut the corner a little early, and pedal to the metal when you pass the corner. With "Environmental cornering" you cut the corner a little sooner, using the sand (and brakes) to slow you down. You end up (usually) sliding to the middle or ourside edge of the corner, and just lay on the gas.
Does anyone have Mugan S2000? Or Honda S2000 LM Race car? go here for the full list of cars you can win.

I have the LM Race S2000 and its definately one of my favorites to drive. It's got a real nice combination of speed and handling. I just got the Gillette Vertigo Race Car and its getting hard to imagine anything too much faster. Its 800kg with 700something hp. It doesn't accelerate as fast as the LM S2000 or the Camaro race car I have but its so light that what little it loses in acceleration and top end, it more than makes up in corners.
I'm intentionally staying away from the Escudo since it sounds like the ultimate car so far and I like to slowly move up carwise through the game. If you get all gold on every race in the Rally division you are supposed to win an Escudo so I will slowly work towards that rather than spending a million.
Maybe we should start running laps in the home setting and configuration area and post best lap times for different cars/settings on the different tracks.
The test area is sorely lacking a skidpad and a braking test. Its hard to tune your car very quickly without that information available.

I learned a trick on toyota gt one. it start to spin out if you are below certain speed. so you will have to keep tap on x button to keep the speed. I hope it helps for those haven't pass.
I modified the GTR and I have 1020hp. but I'm still having trouble tuning that thing. I cannot turn too well. any suggestions?
cheers,
