Buy a glock. Those are cool. Plus you get to say glock. Glock.

if you want some good penetrating power look into .357SIG - the caliber is IMHO perfect in terms of its ballistics for a semi-auto pistol.

The gun:
Glock. Intuitive to fire. Accurate. High Capacity. Rugged. Integral safety. Compact. Light. Virtually never jams. Requires minimal mantenance. Many police agencies have moved to it for just these reasons.

The caliber:
.40 is the caliber to get for "protection". Accurate. Does not overpenetrate. Excellent "stopping" power. Many police agencies have moved to it for just these reasons.

The SW 500 is supposed to be approved for sale any day here in California. I'm supposed to take delivery in late August. For those interested , that idiot law maker who tried to ban them here has had his bill fail. Buy one quick, he will reintroduce the bill next year.

personally im a fan on the walthers. i have the PPK, P5 and the P88. i wanted to pick up the P99 but i think i should look into other makers. i have been keeping an eye on glocks lately but never shot one yet.

i do find the HK USP to be a good shooter as well. dunno why, but i shoot better with that over the sig P228. its just a more comfortable gun for my hand.
