Sorry all,

but I kinda like it. It's not because of the new lines or the extended "rolled" fender look. It's not because of the "riced-out" outfit. I like it because it's different. It breaks away from the norm of what all see as practical and elegant.

The designer had a concept for the car, it was a different concept....but you know what, you may start seeing some of those designs trickle into what we call the norm.

I like it too. I would definitely drive that car. I really dig the chrome wheels.

Apart from the front end I think it looks like an '88 Mustang Cobra - definitely retro but in that "white trash" rather than "rice" way.

loki, I thought the term originated from Americans not liking the "invasion" of japanese cars? So I thought "rice" referred to asian cars or asian looking cars. It is termed "rice" because rice is the staple food of asians. That's what I thought and heard. In any case if it means mods I'm fine with it but if it means asians I don't like it.

IMHO, there's something wrong with the proportions of the fender flares and side spoilers, like the plastic half melted and dropped down just that bit too low before setting...

rjm161. So true. It's so funny. Someone I know that fits that description exactly, immediately popped into my head without me searching for one.

I never really cared for the term cause the term obviously came from jealous people.

OK, enough already. We have beat the "Rice" term to death on many other threads.
