Got mine last night at SuperTarget. $299 PS2 + $24.99 S-video cable + $24.99 8mb (not Sony brand) + 3 x $49.99 games (GT3, RedFaction, Gauntlet) + %8.25 tax... $541. Sigh.

Oh well, now I need to get the Logitech wheel.

The had several of each thing in the case, except the wheel.

 

How do you use a logitech wheel for PS2?

 

Logitech came out with one specifically for the PS2. Ie, it's not a modified PC wheel.

I got the ligitech GT wheel. It even says GT3 A-spec on the box.
Comp-usa had it for $89 with a free set of speakers with a sub
I think this wheel is gonna take some getting use to though.
Right now I am faster with the controller

 

Really? Ditto I'm having a horrible time with the controller - I move the left joystick just even a tiny bit and it's like I cranked the wheel 20 degrees over, so I'm constantly correcting and over correcting, and I just can't hold a good racing line...

Nope, this is my first experience with a Playstation of any type. (My last game console was an Atari 1600, if that tells you anything. ) Practice, practice, practice... Like I needed another reason to stay home.

 

I use the analog controls on the regular controllers for steering, gas, and brake. It works great.
