Yeah, lucid dreaming is pretty cool, but one time I was dreaming of fighting (I think I was in the old school Street Fighter game or something) and I woke up and I had punched this girl who was sleeping in my bed right in the face- no joke! That was the last time she stayed over, to say the least

I had this happen a few times. Once when I was a kid, I felt that I was awake and couldn't open my eyes. I tried really hard but it was as if I lost all feeling with them. The funny thing was that I could move everything else. I got out of bed and felt my way around to the foot thinking I went blind or something. I stood at the foot for a few minutes wondering what's going on and trying my hardest to open my eyes. Finally they opened and I saw that I really was out of bed.

Last year sometime, I was sleeping in a pile of shredding bags I had at work (long night ). As I lay there trying to relax, I felt my body shutting down from my feet upwards. As the feeling moved higher, I couldn't move. Everything seemed heavy on my body. As the feeling grew stronger I was certain that I was either one second away from sleep or death. I didn't want to find out so I tried my hardest to move until I woke myself back up.

I actually managed to "awake" in my dream once. I was on a field practicing softball when it occurred to me that I don't play softball. After a few self tests, I realized that I must be dreaming. Then I quickly realized that I could do whatever I wanted to now with no consequences! Being 14 or so, there was only one thing on my mind...driving a car! I walked over to the lot and managed to hotwire a brown a-team style van. Since it was a dream, the handling was way off and it wouldn't go in the direction that I wanted. I crashed through some small trees first, but got it on the road and doing fine. Eventually, I found myself going up and down on a series of really large hills. At the top of each hill I would almost become airborn. I couldn't control the van any longer and didn't know what to do since I wasn't having fun anymore. I decided the best way to end this was to wreck the car. After I decided that, I saw myself drive the van off a tall bridge. The weird thing is that the whole dream was in first person perspective, until the accident. The accident was all third person.

Man, I wish to get another chance at lucid dreaming. There are a lot more things on my mind now than just driving
