uh thats what i was thinking. i'm fairly certain cops aren't allowed or authorized to accept payment of any form of ticket. it sounds to me like you just got bent over by a crooked cop.

anyway as someone else said... call a lawyer ask for a free consult and tell him your story.

Wow. I know where I def. don't want to move to now.

Like everyone has already stated, I'd talk to an attorney before anything. Sounds like some BS on the cops end for bribery.

So you call attention to yourself by having no front-plate, get pulled over, ticketed.

I didn't address the issue of the officer taking the licence or the payment options because I'm not familiar with Illinios laws, although cash on the spot does seem a bit shady.

I was trying to make a point that if he had his front-plate and no tint, he may not have gotten pulled over.

If you don't give them a reason to pull you over, chances are, you won't need to worry about tickets.

Why are ALL tinted windows banned? What's the mer fkin reason given for that? Many cars come from the Factory with tint. F that stupidity. Tinted windows save energy be keeping the car cooler in summer and hence less a/c being used.

Front plates anywhere are stupid. I hate front plates, f them.

Well thats what ends up happening when the peope sit back and assume the govt can do no wrong. Corruption goes unchecked, and I promise you this, just look at VA, moving violations will become criminal offenses one day...
