Personally I think regular toung piercings are a little old so you should mix it up a little. Maybe a venom toung? heres a pic
The person that mentioned the uvula got me thinking of other toung related piercings that can be hidden, but are cool to show off. Maybe a toung web?

Sick..... My best friend just got his tongue pierced like a week ago and he is loving it but the most I would do to myself is a Tatto and Im also consedering a Prince Albert

Well.... I have a belly ring piercing, and I do have a lower back tribal tattoo done. But I drew out the design, it took me three months to finalize it, I love it, Im still in love with it, and just in case, I got it done in colors that are very easy to remove... But I doubt Ill be doing that anytime soon.Like I said earlier, I doubt that I will be doing the tongue ring, I think the tattoo and the belly ring are enough, plus i have both ears double pierced and the top cartilidge pierced on both of them. I think the tongue ring might bring it over the top. But this has brought me to think about piercing under my clothes 
that only a significant other would be able to view... But sadly I think Ill wait until I get a S/O.

If you do not have one already, get your belly button pierced. I think it shows a lot more class than a tongue ring. I am pretty old fashioned when it comes to men and women and I think that a tongue ring shows no class. Just my $.02 thats all.
