Sorry, but "they" are not flaunting anything. Your religion and your interpretation of your religion makes these things offensive to you personally. You do not speak for every religious person here, nor every religion.
Just because you may think the bible says tits, beer and guns are bad, others may not.

I never said I spoke for everyone. Sheesh - do you always put things into people's mouths? You evade every point and make up junk while you go along.
Seriously, you can do better than this. Of course a person's personal beliefs/feelings/morals determine how they perceive something. That's a given but it's not the ponit.
The point is still that other people have a belief in the things I mentioned and it is flaunted continuously. The reason behind my disliking it isn't pertinent - the point is only that you consider it "fine" to force that on me but you can't allow me to "force" what I believe on you. I wouldn't ever force it on you but I guarantee that what others throw at me (day-to-day) is as bad or worse than the worst experience you've had with a Christian.
If you can't relate, that's fine. I don't expect you to. But believe me - I get alternate beliefs thrown at me constantly. I think any Christian will tell you this.

This is getting good.
I'm curious to know how the believers feel about those that speculate Jesus never actually died on the cross and was actually drugged willingly and knowingly, passed out, and then taken away by a friend where he was hidden away for a few days until he was better....hence the miraculous resurrection?

In short, no, I don't believe your scenario.

The bible is a great story, written by multiple people over numerous centuries. Of course it has some historical accuracy. It's the part where some loon took 2 of every animal onto a boat while the world flooded, or another guy turned wine into blood were me and lots of other people manage to separate a good story with a moral cause from reality.
I guess you've just given us a case in point - you haven't read the Bible, yet persist in knocking it. You probably read about other people that have read (parts of) it.
Pitiful. :thumbdwn:

What makes you think that your love of Jesus is what He wanted?
There are gays for Jesus, Jerry Fallwell's adultery, raped Christians that get abortion....
They believe in Jesus and call themselves Christian. Rightfully so.
Don't think that your Christianity is the only one (the battle to the contrary still rages in Ireland). And don't lump everyone who is not like you as "other."

Only time will tell who is right and wrong. Believe me - I'm not going to march out and start saying I'm right and everyone else is wrong.
For those that you list that have sinned, I cannot condemn them. I can condemn their actions, but there go I, but for the grace of God.
Gay? I pity them but the Bible clearly states that it is an abomination - they're not Christian while they're gay.
Caught in adultery? The scripture says that if you look at a woman and lust for her, you've committed adultery (or fornication, depending on your marital status). We've all sinned and come short of the glory of God. I am saddened that these people tarnish their testimony but we've all done that, just not necessarily as publicly. I'm not excusing them but I am saying we have all made mistakes.
However, your "rightfully so" comment is not necessarily right. To willfully persist in sin is NOT Christian, hence no one that does that has a "right" to call themselves a Christian.
My Christianity may not be the only one that is PROFESSED, but again I say, time will tell if maybe it was the only one that truly was right.
As for lumping everyone else as "other", why not? If they're not in agreement with me, they are "other". Not in every way, but in some way.

Are there Christian hippocrates? Of course there are
Do Christians live a sinless life? They may try to. but no
Were there atrocities placed on people in the name of God? Yup
Does that change who God is or why Jesus was sacrificed for the sins of the world?(not just the Christians believers sins) Not one bit.
