Why, if the only route to salvation is through Christian baptism, have millions been allowed to be born in times and places where this would never be available to them?
You're technically wrong. You don't have to be baptized in Christian baptism to make it to heaven. If you reject the truth, yes, you are probably lost but there are "loopholes".

Some won't ever have a chance to hear the truth. They'll be judged accordingly - the Bible says that the Lord will be just.

Furthermore, there are those that clothe, feed, and generally help meet the needs of those that are saved. Some of those will actually get saved because of that (and they won't even realize they did it, in many cases).

My advice is still to accept Christ as your Saviour - it's a guaranteed proposition - but it is still possible to make it to heaven other ways.

I have a question for all of you. How many of you have actaully read the bible? That shit is a great read. It really is a fantastic novel. I say novel because I believe it to be as fictional as Stephen Kings works, but it is a good book.
Stephen King's books are non-fiction?!?!? Argh - here I was thinking they were true!

I love reading the "faithless" comments. Organized religion is just that, Organized by man. Hence the constant ridicule and judgement of the Christian establishment as it is summed up as a whole. They deserve the riducule...After all, if your going to judge, than expect to be judged!

In the United States, we exercise our freedom of speech in a negative banter in order to show our streangth. However, if we had Faith in God, meaning a personal relationship and not one that is based on judging others (thats Gods job) we would not be so quick to speak out as we would have faith in the outcome.

The original question was what would we ask Jesus. I for one would ask nothing. I would bow in his presence and thank him for eternal life.

The way I see it, my Faith is a personal relationship based faith. Not a faith to judge others. This has been the major downfall in our Country.

It's amazing to me that we spend billions on insurance in this country., however, when it comes to the insurance of eternal life , we turn our back. What do I have to lose for believing other than listening to a few naysayers? Does this mean that I agree with everything the religious right has to say? Absolutely not, once again, it's a personal relationship not a public one.

For those who discount me, or think I'm off the wall, believe it or not I respect your right not to believe as much as I respect your right to believe. I would sit and enjoy a drink with you and shoot the bull about cars all night long.

Hopefully you all can catch my drift here..........
Most sensible post in this entire thread.

"Why is it that so many of you non believers have such hatred for us believers?"

It's because you "believers", believe it's your right to publicize your belief's. Keep it to yourself, and you won't find out ours. Pride is a sin, and when you publicize your belief's and condemn others for theirs, you are being prideful, and a hipocrit.

Man, you need to quit while you're behind.

"Unbelievers" flaunt their beliefs constantly. I'm bombarded by them every time I turn on my radio, drive down the street, read a book, or walk through a mall. It's pervasive - far more than those of Christians. We can't help but find out your beliefs.

Believers have a right to promote what they believe, whether they're Christian or not. NonChristians are believers, too - just believers of something different.

Publicizing beliefs and condemning things that are against them is prideful? What planet are you from? Perhaps it's out of mercy that we try and help others. Nor is it hypocritical - hypocritical would be not living what we believe (and that has nothing to do with your comment). Your logic is really missing on this one...

Just to clarify, though - condemning a person is wrong. Period. Condemning their actions is not wrong.
