I've hit 155 when I had my Sentra SE-R with a turbo motor. That was the redline in 5th.

In my C5 Corvette, I hit 150 at Portland Intl Raceway. 150 was about as fast as I could hit before having to brake REALLY hard for the first turn.

I've driven a Volvo S70 T5 to 140 while racing a Corrado G60 (he lost).

I've driven a modded 944 Turbo to 145 while the owner was standing on the side of the road watching (he wanted to hear is car go by).

130 in a 90 model Maxima sedan while racing a 305 V8 RS Camaro. His car had a top speed governer, so I could slow down to around 80 and we would both nail it to 108 (his cutoff) and then I would pull away. We did this over and over going to the Texas coast.

 

All speedo indicated:

168 - 99 C5 (I/E work)
155 - 97 M3 (chipped, no limiter)
140 - S2K

Waiting for new M3, speedo goes to 180

 

130 in my Acura NSX.
135 in a Porsche 944S.

 

110mph in my 1990 Dodge Colt (Mitsubishi Mirage) 1.5 liter 4-Cyl. producing 88HP

 

I've hit 275km (171 mile) in my slighted modded '91 NSX. The car felt very stable at such high speed, I think I could go even faster.
For my '01 S2000, the fastest I've hit is 68 mile!!! :

 

142 in the good ole S2000.

 

95MPH on a wide angled curve. i don't want to get a ticket.

 

In my S2000 - 137 mph
In my 92 modded Eclipse GSX - 143 mph
In a friends modded 98 M3 - 158 mph

It was amazing to be in speeds over 140 mph. Both were on a track....
