130 in my S racing an M3 on the freeway (I know--I apologize. It was dumb). In case anyone's interested, I did walk away from the M3 before he gave up. The car was very stable--might have assumed I was doing 65 if not for the speedometer and hitting VTEC in 5th and 6th.

My average for 8 laps at Disney's Richard Petty's racing experience was 125.38. It felt like 70 mph since those cars are so set up and tight!

Hmm, we are talking on closed race courses right?

S2000 110 with top down 4th gear howling
ZX-1000D (with mods)185 indicated 170 actual?
ZX-900a (with mods) 175 indicated 160 actual?
GPZ-550 (modified production) 145 actual

Fastest wheelie 95 est. top of third gear(speedo works on front tire, heh heh)

scariest speed experience - 74 Vega GT at anything over 85... ( I am so ashamed )

humm,let's see.

I don't know how fast we were going but I sure was holding on tight while being the "monkey" on a GP sidecar rig for a few "practice" laps at Grattan. Those things are dangerous!

176mph on my GSXR750 at Daytona. That was on the banking -yes, while turning.

162mph in my old highly modified SVO Mustang-ran out of gear not HP! Geez in a Ford of all things.

155mph on my CBR600 Superbike going downhill into the "gravity cavity" at Road Atlanta IN THE RAIN.

115-120 mph on a Ski-doo Mach I across a frozen lake. Very scary. Ice heaves and snow drifts make for a rough ride.

This is amazing! So far, The winner looks like a top fuel dragster.

I am amazed at fast folks have been on bikes! Egads! Anything above 140 on a bike is a bit ....risky. I did 125 on a Honda Interceptor way back in college and that was in the dead of night. Scared me silly.

OK, I knew someone would slip in an aircraft.

Frozen lakes in snowmobiles, across water in hydroplane boats, man! I'm waiting for someone to tell me they went 70+ on a bicycle... I know they get to those speeds on the Tour de France down the mountains.
