Can't stand it. Although if I was born and raised there I might have a perverse love/hate relationship with it (like I have with Philly).

 

 

IMHO Its a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

However - there is a reason why so many people move there.

1. It is the banking/financial capital of the Country. If you
2. If you are young, single profressional then it is a fun to place to party, meet intelligent singles.
3. If you grew up in the East coast then NYC is normal. If you grew up in Tx, Fl, Ca or west coast then it is complete culture shock. Watching kids playing basketball on a roof top with a chain link fence stuck out in my head(thats was county prisoners do in our city).

 

NYC! There is no other. For all of you that say people are rude etc.. Its a hasty generalization that you probably read about or heard somewhere! There is no city out there like it.IF you can make it in NYC you can make it anywhere else.
