I changed my rear SO2's at about 12500... probably needed to change them around 9500... as that is when I started noticing the fishtailing

Got about 12k on the first set of S02's, about 10k on the second set, then about 14k on a set of Yokohamas AVS ES100's.
[QUOTE] One of our members goes through a set of rears every two months or so.

And those weren't even S-02s! They were Hankook RS-2s! Two sets of 'em IIRC.

I got my S with 7500 miles and the S02s were already worn out. Actually, down to the wear indicators on the inside of all the tires while the outside thread was still good. Bad alignment maybe? Replaced all with Goodyear F1 GS-D3 and had a alignment done and the rears only lasted about 11k but even wear. That's a result autox and HST... I'm sure they would have lasted longer under normal driving, but that's hard to do in this car!

uneven wear could be a result of the camber. I think the S may be slightly toed in to improve cornering.

Doesnt over - inflation typically causes this type of wear?
I think an over inflated tire would cause the center to wear, likewise an under inflated tire would cause the outside edges to wear.

This was part of the reason for my tire wear. After the Goodyear F1s were installed and the alignment was brought back to spec (per Goodyear) the tire wore amazingly even over the next 10k miles.
