damper travel

could preload affect damper travel/stiffness?

im trying to figure out an issue with my front tire pulling out the fender lip when the suspension compresses on a turn.

well my coilovers are fully threaded and according to this vid the height will no change damped travel.

my question was will preload affect damper travel/stiffness
