i think the side mount sboxes are $199 each side with out speakers, i am looking into making them also. becareful with most of the shallow mount 10's as they measure almost 11", i have used almost all that are on the market today, trying to find one for my application, now the new alpine type R shallow mount is 10" speaker, great sub but for $450 suggested retail, it should be. BTW if you would want one in one of my boxes it moves the price up to $500 box and sub.
