Wow. Nope. Not in yet. Shipped today via 3 day select. Hopefully will be in this weekend.... those pics are AWESOME!

As far as the wallpaper, I think you need to load something onto a CD from your PC. Got to Alpine's site. They have an iPersonalize login where you can select and download all the stuff to a CD. Then just put CD in the unit, and it should work. This is all based on prior experience with iPersonalize, so unless its changed it should be similar. Check the manual as well..... there might be a longer one on the site as well.

Does it come with a remote? If so, the IR DCI should still work.... we will see.

LOl....not to be rude but you are going to be very frustrated trying to jam a cd into this HU. Does not have a cd drive.

It does not come with a remote but you can use one.

I have not even tried to put pics on it yet. Have been busy and not wanting to mess with it until my DCI issue is resolved. Have you put any pics on it yet?

I have some jpegs on my thumbdrive but when ever it pulls them up the display says "unsupported".

you have to convert them to APN....i dont know how yet..im looking for software to do it....

masahito - you do not need the full speed cable from apline because this deck comes with one that runs through USB. you can buy the full speed to add another ipod if you wish.

how weird... i know nothing about this stuff but I just started researching since im in the market for a HU. hows this one compare?? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;js...d=1158321454732
(DEH-P9800BT) It is more expensive but looks like it has same features + cd player?? Is either one better than the other for the Ipod? also this ones says it has a wired remote input or w/e so I guess it would be a nice install with a wired DCI??

Any thoughts on these 2?

B.Money: Both have wired remote inputs, the alpine's have been much better with iPods in the past, and since the Pioneer still uses that external box to connect to the ipod, the alpine should still be far superior for ipod functionality and speed (those ext control boxes are horribly slow). I'm sure the alpine will provide much more info on the screen too when using the ipod.

Personally I never use the CD player in my 9857 since I have an ipod in the car, but don't see a need to "upgrade" to this unit either..

the pioneer will have a lot more functionality in terms of controlling the way you hear your music. a lot more options for bass and treble. get the pioneer if you want the cd player and need control over certain aspects of your music. get the alpine if you want a big screen, easy ipod functionality and just regular bass and treble control.

the ipod control on the ipod is EXACTLY like your ipod screen on the new alpine deck

Forgot about the CD player being removed. It obviously was not a big deal... I maybe you load the iPersonalize info onto a thumb drive? Make sense... Package arrives Monday.

Does it have the "Video" or "Movie" option (to play movies), (Same menu as Music and Pictures and Settings, etc.)? I do not think that it does, but mine is a Video iPod....
