Default alternative deck mounting options

I was considering mounting my MP3/CD deck vertically in "glove box" (the one that you put the key into) similar to how the PS2 can be stood up. Will this work? Do aftermarket, front-loading CD players have the ability to play CDs in this position? Also, it looks slightly angled, would that matter or would I have to stand it straight up? Also, how will this effect the amount of skipping, etc?

The reason I ask is because I would rather use the stock radio location for something else but still want a stereo and the ability to change CDs without having to walk to the trunk.

Is this even possible?

sure is. you could mount a cd player upside down if you wanted to. I tried this out with my pioneer.

Depends on the deck. Some have specific mounting angle requirements. Best to check the manual before you purchase one.
