Default That annoying key in the ignition beep...

I was under my dash last night checking out my wiring when I took a good guess as to which electronic box was the one with that annoying beep and it is the only one with 2 wires going into it, directly below the steering wheel. Popped the connector and whala! No more beep!

I was relieved that it was this simple. I guess the beeping may be handy for some people, but I have always disabled it in the Preludes that I used to own, and in those it was a bit trickier, because it involved opening up a bigger electronical box near the radio and breaking the beeper speaker off of the printed circuit board. Which was a much more permanent way of circumventing it, but I never missed it!

Just thought you all would like to know, if you didn't already!

Or use the same screw but just unplug the door switch before you put it back in.

How do you put a plastic screw in the door sensor? Do you have a pic?
