I am interested in MB Quart PSD216 (component 6.5" speakers). My local stereo shop wanted $450. I found this online store (MMXpress.com) that has them for $360. They are pretty upfront about the fact that MBQuart doesn't support online sales and that the factory warrenty will be void (MBQuart agrees on their web site). Still, the stuff is claimed new and MMXpress offers their own limited warrenty.

Has anyone purchased from MMXpress? If so, what was your experience?

Does anyone have a different online source for MBQuart that they trust (Crutchfield does not carry them)?

Can a company legally void a warranty because you bought online?

Thanks

MB Quart could easily deny a warranty claim because they were bought through an unauthorized dealer. The MB Quart stuff MMXpress has is probably bought through a reseller, and they don't mark it up 100% like a typical store would. In my experience, you'll have no problems with these speakers. Unless the speakers you get are junk (very doubtful), I would consider this a "safe" purchase.

I notice both of the links are for PSC216 not PSD216.

Thanks for everyone's input.

As far as I can tell the difference between the PSC and the PSDs are the low end frequency response. I think 45Hz for the PSC and 38 for the PSD. At least from the specs, I can see no other difference. I think this is pretty minor but I am going to go ahead and buy the newer model.
