Default Audio Question

My friend has 4 Bose speakers that used to be in his chevy truck, which he replaced with Infinity. The dimensions are like either 4.5in or 6.5, can't think on the top of my head, but i was wondering if they would be able to fit in the slots that the old ones currently reside. They are component speakers, I'm new to all this so help me out

Andrew

most likely no. the speakers in bose systems that i am familiar with have had an unconventional impedance, such as 1/2 ohm. this works with the bose amplifier included in the original system, but will not work with your typical head-unit or aftermarket amp.

i tried to keep things objective to start, providing a simple answer the question of whether or not they will work. since that's been addressed, and the opinions are rolling in, here goes another:

no highs, no lows, must be bose...

Bose Better Sound Through Research

More like "better profits through marketing". It is estimated that Bose has spent more dollars on advertising last year than ALL other high-end companies COMBINED.
