Default Boot/Trunk rattle when the Bass kicks

Does anyone know what the common parts are in the S2K Boot (or Trunk for my American friends) When I tune my new 12" Sub powered by a hefty amp at certain bass tones (usually really low) I get a nasty rattle. Its not the bass distorting and I have dynamat the lip of the trunk but It still happens. I (re)stuck down the number plate and its not that either. Any ideas? Thanks

quickest cheapest easiest ugly solution to your problem? take the spare tire jack and insert it into the area under the tray and start jacking it up, apply light pressure to the tray and see if that doesn't get rid of the rattle. It worked for me before I took the entire thing apart for a permanent solution.

sorry thanks for the reply, for a complete novice the "tray" is what, where the spare tyre is based?

they "tray" is right behind the seats. Its a plastic piece that supports the window when your top is down.

The trunk release knob (made for those who get stuck in the trunk) is a good start as well.

I velcro'd and zip tied parts of the latch.
