Oh yeah, what about ACARAUDIO.com? They were the ones that had the Phoenix Gold amp for $599. I thought it was onlinecarstereo, but I was mistaken.

Alpha car audio is fine as well.

With headunits, alpine especially, the last thing I care about is warranty. Ive never seen an Alpine HU go bad. I HAVE seen sony and pioneer.

Nate...look at the Deals of the week post...

The Alphasonik amp I think is better for your application than the XENON. Its a great deal as well!

Okay, let me check that amp out.

Also, which Eclipse sub do I want? The SW8102.4 or the SW8102DVC?

Oh man, now you are messing me up!!!!!

Okay, what should I do. What do you recommend now? If you wanted high-quality sound for my choice of music (house/progressive, some rap, some 80's and alternative), what would you do? The Alphasonik or PG? I have never heard of Alphasonik before. Are they really any good? Will it be better than PG? The price is nicer, but will I still get a high-quality system? Or is the Alphasonik in the same class as the Memphis Baby Bell?

So what do I do?

1) Alpine 9831
2) Eclipse 10" Aluminum (which model? see above)
3) Focal 165KP or the K2P's???? If I'm going with the Alphasonik, would it be better to save the money and go with the KP's? Or is it worth the extra money for the K2P's?
4) PG Xenon x200.4 or Alphasonic PMA4150 - OR - PMA640HC??????????????????????

I was so close to ordering, and now you made me rethink things!

Thats my job...to confuse the sh!t out of you.

Alphasonik is in the same class as...

Phoenix Gold
Soundsteam
JL
ARC...etc

Basically, its the top of the line group of amps that normal humans can afford...

The only thing better would be

Audison
Helix
Brax....etc

Powerwise, this amp is slightly better than the Xenon....because it gives you LESS power for the fronts (with the XENON, the power would be wasted) and MORE power for the sub (where you need it.) I looked at the price difference between the best deal on the XENON, and the Alphasonik, and its quite a difference....you can use the money on better wiring, speakers, whatever.

As for which model sub you want....Id wait for Phil to chime in and advise on wiring options... He's the man with that stuff.

Trust me on this one bro...its better that you think this through NOW, rather than making a purchase, and kicking yourself in the a$$ later for the wrong decision. Im gonna dig up some literature for you about the company so that you feel more comfortable.

Can you tell Im from NYC? I can sell anything.

Hmmmmm....I read the info, but I'm still not sure about them. Seems comparable to Memphis to me. But the deal they have going is great, and I'd much rather spend $399 vs $599 for an amp.

Also, do you recommend the Focal KP or K2P speakers with the Alphasonik amp?

I was also looking at the Alphasonik PMA640HC amp (160x4 and 480x2 @ 1 ohm stereo). It's a bit more than the PMA4150, but is the extra power worth it?

So many choices.

But yes, I agree. I want to do the research now, make sure I know what I'm getting, how it will work together and have something I'll be happy with rather than kicking myself in the ass later. So definitely give me your insight.

Thanks again for all the great info! We are getting so close!

Phil, your recommendations on the Eclipse Aluminum sub model?

No...the extra power is a waste....160 is pushing it too far for the focals, and 480 @ 1 ohm? The one we were talking about is 480@ 2ohm.

Hopefully someone else can chime in to discuss Alphasonik.
