Car setting off radar

Default Car setting off radar

this may sound strange but, but has anybody run into a problem with there radar detector going off randomly? Everytime i drive past 3K rpm or even floor it my radar detectors goes off showing an L-band frequency. its getting quite annoying. It doesnt do this when its in my xB

Had same issue with the passport 9500ix! detector was fine normal driving and in my daily driver, but as soon as the turbo started to spool it would trip the laser alert function. Got so annoying I disabled the laser feature when in the honda. Any info would be appreciated.

Read the other thread but no help really. Sounds like a bad detector to me, purchased online so passport will not honor warranty.

op, some radar detectors detect voltage... maybe it was given you a voltage warning?

well i am sure that it isnt a defective detector because i had this for about 2 years in my scion xb and it still works like a champ. i just got my s2000 this saturday and figured this car needs it more than the other...i beleive its a cobra ESD-7100 9 band detector...if anything could it be the Apexi Vtec controller the car has?
