natedogg,
sounds like you need a sealed box dude. ported boxes always sound muddy to me. I definitly think that a sealed box would tighten up your sound though. I've got a ten in a sealed fiberglass box that rocks. I bought the enclosure from darkknight awhile back, it was his origional setup. it's tasty. cheers!
i -ported the trunk thru the piece that holds the soft-top. just cut a small hole over where my spare used to be. keeps my amps cool and helps with bass response.
in the mean time... take some couch foam and shove it in your sub port. It'll tighten up the bass quite a bit. any upholustry shop will have extra on hand. cut to size, and you've got a handy bass adjuster.
let's meet up and i let you borrow the my infiniti that's for sale. check it on the electronics forum. it's a sick sub that allows you to adjust the size of the magnet. seroiusly. uber control. can your amp do 2 ohms?

Yes, my amp can do 2ohms. So that's a possibility.
You know, sealed does seem the best route, but after listening to others with sealed enclosures, I noticed that both types of enclosures still sound very alike and still have some "muddiness."

But isn't it hard to find the e8a subs now?
come to think of it, if you want output and only want 1 of these, i would advise not to, unless you do not like your music loud?

Anyone have any good links/suggestions on where to find a 10" Adire Brahma sub? Also, will it handle the amount of power I have with my MMATs amp (700x1 at 1ohm).
I tried to put in an Infinity Perfect Kappa VQ 10" sub, and even with my amp playing at half power (running it at 2ohms) with the gains turned all the way down, it was still too much for the sub. So I need something that can handle good, clean, plentiful power.
