Default Chasing trunk light falsing problem

Since installing kick panel speakers and an alarm system, the trunk light comes on during acceleration and goes off as soon as the gas is eased up on.

We've looked and jiggled wires, but just can't find the problem, especially as it only happens with the car moving. It is related to forward movement, so something is moving towards the back of the car causing the problem.

I waited for a few weeks to see if the problem would become constant, aiding in diagnosis, but it has not.

As minor as this problem is, it can seriously impact on the cars resale value.

Does anyone have any suggestions for tracking this down?

If all else fails, how do I disconnect the light for the trunk ajar display?

Thanks,

Ken

Nothing says "quality seller" like the one who covers up a problem

One way would be to move from back to front in the wiring harness, wiring a short across the wires at each step. When the light stops coming on, back up a step and look there for an intermittent connection.
