Critique my shop's recommendations:
hey... at least we're still under $1k...

btw -- you could always shoot for a different sub amp... getting an audison isn't as much a priority there...
i've been very happy w/ my Kicker amp on subs for a few years now... the Kicker KX 600.1 is 600Wrms x 1 @ 2 ohms
http://www.millionbuy.com/kikkx6001.html
$300.
check on size though, as this one isn't small either.
that would land you right at $800 or so.
Pro-Car stereo has the same amp for $379. you might want to try and have them pricematch millionbuy.com
http://www.procarstereo.com/product.jsp?pr...product_id=1780
btw -- i've never bought from any of these companies before.
on second look... just based on pictures on the site, it looks like millionbuy.com is selling last year's model and procarstereo is selling the current model.
*shrug*
one good thing though -- since these are class D amps, they will run substantially cooler than my ZR240 Kicker, which you could cook on at a 2 ohm load.

I can vouch for millionbuy.....great place.
Anyway, the thing with the audison's...yes they are more money now, but just like HRE's you can always sell them for nearly what you bought them for. If you are not planning on selling them, youll have a good quality amp for life.....this 200 bucks youll forget in 2 months, but you wont foget whats in your trunk.
I agree with Phil. If you cant afford to do both audison, then get the one for the highs. The sub get something else. (cheaper)

I'm just trying to justify spending the money. Usually I would, but I'm trying to be more frugal these days.
FWIW, I think I will go with both Audisons.
Thank you guys for your help.

Anytime brotha.....remember my motto.....
If you are gonna do it, do it right .
Especially in car audio, if you dont do it right the first time, youll spend twice the money in the long run. Everyone will vouch for that!
