Default Upgrading my stereo, had a couple of questions

Hey guys, so I had a couple of questions. I upgrade my head unit to the Alpine 149BT, which is great so far, but the speakers suck. I wanted to know if these speakers would fit in the S? I've heard the doors are pretty shallow so a lot of speakers won't fit in the hole.

I've been reading up on them and they sound pretty good.

Basically I want really clear sound and listen at a normal level. I want to still be able to listen to my music when the roof is off too.

I know for these speakers, I would need to run an amp. I found this

As for bass, I want to get a sub in a couple of months, and was looking at either a 10" JL W6 or W3.

Thanks!

Crutchfield says it won't fit...probably due to the shallowness of the doors.

I have a pair of Pioneer TS-D1720C with similar depth and I was able to make them fit with by cuting the plastic OEM cage and adding a shim.

Very few speakers will fit with the OEM plastic speaker basket, but almost all will fit
if you substitute a spacer ring up to 3/4" thick, easily purchased or made from MDF.
You don't say whether your car has the separate tweeters, but if not, those speakers
configured with their removable tweeter attached to the woofer may not fit under
the grill even if there is enough clearance behind the speaker.
