Custom fiberglass molding
just throwing this trick of the trade out there. If you would like to mold the back casing of an object and don't want to go through the hastle of applying mold release, covering holes, claying, etc. Go grab some heat shrink plastic wrap from walmart, it's the stuff used to seal drafty windows in the winter. Place the object face down on a non stick surface(I use glass tables) and place the doublesided tape around the perimeter of the object. Now loosely place the plastic over the object and stick it to the tape. Use a hairdryer to shrink it and you'll have the perfect shape to lay the fiberglass over.

I have had good luck using clear plastic packing tape - carefully placed to eliminate seams and such. Usually the resin will release from the backside of the tape easily with little or no release or wax (like using a tad of wax myself) and the tape usually comes off clean from plastics, metals, painted objects, etc..
I like the heat shrinkable plastic idea also.
Have used thermal PVC and a heatgun also - a little heat, gravity and a small matting roller.
